Certainly, the ability to type quickly and accurately is a benefit, as is a basic knowledge of how to use spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
But you can start making good money with data entry operator jobs with no previous experience and no advanced specialized skills.

You might also look to platforms like Amazon Mechanical Turk or Clickworker.
