Do you want to make extra money? How about using your smartphone to make money while walking? Sweatcoin is one of the great make money apps that pays you to walk! You get fit and get cash! I LOVE it! #makeextramoney #makemoneyonline #sidehustle

I TRIED SWEATCOIN, A FREE APP TO GET MONEY FOR WALKING…HERE IS HOW MUCH I MADE

Woman walking down some stairs in gym clothes, making money while using the sweatcoin app
Can you really get paid to walk?

The first time I heard about Sweatcoin I was intrigued!

I love walking, and it’s something I try to do every day. So when I found out that it was possible to make some extra money on the side by walking outside, I really wanted to check out this app.

Is Sweatcoin a scam?

Let me reassure you! Sweatcoin is not a scam. It’s completely legit, and yes, it’s true! You will get paid for walking. And I found myself taking much longer walks just to earn a few more bucks!

However, you will not make hundreds of dollars a week with this app. Make sure you don’t set unrealistic expectations for how much you can make!

Depending on your monthly subscription, you can earn between 150 to 600 sweatcoins a month!

Sweatcoin Review: is it a scam or legit?

Let me reassure you on this! Sweatcoin is not a scam. It’s completely legit, and yes, it’s true! You will get paid for walking.

I love Sweatcoin because it helps you make some free money out of something you are already doing, and it encourages you to take more exercise!

However, you will not make hundreds of dollars a week with this app. Make sure you don’t set unrealistic expectations for how much you can make!

Try Sweatcoin Now!

How does Sweatcoin work?

1. Download the app

First of all, you need to install the app on your smartphone. You can download the app here, and in a few minutes, you will be set to start earning sweatcoins.

2. Start walking

Once you’ve set up the app, you can start walking. You will need to let the app run in the background and allow it to track your steps.

Every time you walk, Sweatcoin will register how many outdoor steps you take and reward you .95 sweatcoins every 1,000 steps.

This isn’t, of course, a mind-blowing amount, but if you keep the app running, every step adds up, and you’ll be able to get one of the offers in a few weeks!

Is Sweatcoin legit or a scam? Can you really make money for walking? Read my Sweatcoin review and find out! When I heard about it, I had to give it a shot!

3. Exchange coins for rewards

As soon as you earn enough sweatcoins, you can exchange them for one of the many rewards you can find in the daily offers.

When Sweatcoin started out, it was mostly offering fitness-related products, but you can now find restaurant discounts, holiday vouchers, and even get amazing prices like an iPhone, an Apple Watch, or a Samsung TV with 20,000 sweatcoins!

How many sweatcoins can you earn?

There are 3 ways to earn sweatcoins:

  • Make money for walking
  • Earn daily rewards
  • Invite friends rewards

Make money for walking

This is the main way to earn money with Sweatcoin. Just grab your phone, let the app run in the background, and start walking!

At the moment, there is a daily cap on how many sweatcoins you can earn.

When you install the app, you are automatically subscribed (for free) to the Mover Subscription.

This is the free level, and it allows you to earn up to 5 sweatcoins per day (roughly 5,000 steps a day) and up to 150 sweatcoins per month.

If you want to earn more, you need to move up to one of the paid subscriptions.

Is Sweatcoin a scam or legit? Can you really make money for walking? Read my Sweatcoin review and find out! When I heard about it, I had to give it a shot!

Mover

Cost: Free

This is the standard free subscription. You can earn up to 5SWC (5,000 steps) per day.

Shaker

Cost: 4.75 SWC/month

With the shaker subscription, you can earn up to 10 SWC (10,000 steps) per day.

Quaker

Cost: 20 SWC/month

With the quaker subscription, you can earn up to 15 SWC (15,000 steps) per day.

Breaker

Cost: 30 SWC/month

With the breaker subscription, you can earn up to 20 SWC (20,000) per day.

Trouble Maker

Cost: $0.99 or equivalent in your currency

With the trouble maker subscription, you can earn up to 50 SWC per day, but you need to pay for the app.

After trying the shaker subscription for a month, I decided to keep the free mover subscription. Even if I do over 10,000 during the weekends and some days of the week, I found that, on average, I am better off with the mover subscription.

Earn daily bonuses

Daily bonuses are another fun way for you to earn sweatcoins, simply by watching ads within the app.

To claim your daily bonus, go to the marketplace screen, click “Try your luck” under the daily bonus module, watch the short ad from start to finish, and then, the wheel of fortune will spin. You can win prizes ranging from 0 to 1000 Sweatcoins.

And you have 3 chances a day to try this out!

You can check your wallet to view the transaction and make sure you got paid.

Invite friends

Sweatcoin currently offers a referral program. For every friend you refer, you can get 5 sweatcoins. The more friends you refer, the more rewards you can get!

How to spend your Sweatcoins: Sweatcoin offers

There are different types of offers with Sweatcoin:

  • Pay with sweatcoins
  • Digital offers
  • Physical products
  • Marathon offers
  • Bucket list
  • Sweatcoin for Good

Daily offers: pay with sweatcoins, digital offers, physical products

I have to say since I started using Sweatcoin a few months ago, I can see more and more offers added every day.

Sweatcoin has over 160 brands, and there are many things you’ll be able to choose from: restaurant vouchers, holiday vouchers, workout clothes, jewelry, shaving products, and more.

Offers vary a lot in prices: you can get some for as little as 4 sweatcoins or as much as 1,500 sweatcoins!

Every day, after 8 am, you’ll be able to find new offers on the app.

Marathon offers

Well, they are called marathon offers for a reason! It can take you a long time to get them.

Marathon offers have some awesome rewards that change all the time.

A few examples:

  • A brand new iPhone
  • Or Apple Watch
  • $1,000 in cash paid via PayPal
  • $1,000 holiday voucher
  • Samsung TV

Just to name a few!

If you try to get these offers just by walking, it will take you several years to save up for them. You need to be smart about it!

Sweatcoin lets you transfer money between accounts. If you invite friends and combine your effort, you can add up your sweatcoins and earn these amazing rewards much faster!

Is Sweatcoin legit or a scam? Can you really make money for walking? Read my Sweatcoin review and find out! When I heard about it, I had to give it a shot!

Bucket List

Similar to marathon offers, bucket list offers are once in a lifetime experience.

Things like seeing the northern lights from a cozy igloo in Finland to dining on top of the Eiffel Tower.

To get an offer on the bucket list, you need to earn 25,000 sweatcoins and over!

Sweatcoin bucket list offers

Sweatcoin for good

I loved it when Sweatcoin added the option to donate your coins to charity.

It makes me want to use it even more.

You can make a difference by staying fit and contribute to helping people and projects around the world.

You can read about some of the success stories here.

Is Sweatcoin safe? Does it really pay?

Even after reading all of this, you might still be wondering if sweatcoin is legit or a scam.

Will it really pay you?

If you invest a few months earning sweatcoins with friends to get, for example the $1,000 cash reward with PayPal, will you really receive it?

I know you are probably still a bit skeptical, but I can assure you that sweatcoin is legit. I had the exact same doubts as you the first time I could cash out $100.

But here is the proof:

Is Sweatcoin a scam or legit? Can you really make money for walking? Read my Sweatcoin review and find out! When I heard about it, I had to give it a shot!

So yes, Sweatcoin is safe!

Sweatcoin Pro

  • Knowing that you earn sweatcoins when you walk makes you move more! It seems a bit silly, but just having this app reminding you that you are paid for walking helps to improve your fitness level! A recent study that gave a financial reward to employers that did more physical activity showed that over half of the participants improved their exercise level!
  • If you use the app and share the sweatcoins you earn with family and friends, you can quickly grab some great rewards!
  • The latest version of the app lets you track indoor steps too, without the need to use your GPS location. You just need to enable this option when you download the app.

Sweatcoin Cons

  • The app must always be running on your phone. If you swipe up or force quit, it stops tracking your steps. Thankfully, it has a battery saver mode which it defaults to when you first download the app. Some people say it can drain the battery, but Dan and I use it all the time, and we have hardly noticed any difference (on both iPhone and Android).
  • Some phones automatically force Sweatcoin to turn off to save battery. This means you need to remember to open the app every time you walk.
  • If you have trouble tracking steps with the app, customer support can be slow to reply.

Is Sweatcoin worth it?

Dan and I LOVE Sweatcoin. It’s definitely not going to make you rich, but we tend to walk outside more since we started using it.

As it doesn’t track your activity inside, we find ourselves enjoying longer walks or comparing how many sweatcoins we earned at the end of every day.

It also helps you to make some free money out of something you are already doing anyway. Therefore anything you get is just a bonus!

Hey Amar, there isn’t an exact equivalent amount plus you can’t really withdraw the money. You need to use it to get rewards and discounts. Check out the offers within the app for more details on what you can get!

Same with me . I’ve sent cozy blender emails they answered at first but later ignored me. And now I cant find the website anymore. I know now it was a scam. Does anyone think if the app itself is a scam too?

Hello… do I have to walk to make steps count or it counts even if I’m running? Because in the official site doesn’t mention anything about running

Hey Panagiotis, yes. It counts steps even when you are running but to be 100% sure, make sure you activate the GPS on your phone.

All marathon offers have been removed since a few months. So be so honoust and acknowledge it in the end has become a scam. I removed the app, best thing I did so far in 2021. Too bad for my 9.800 SWC. But that is life, free money doesn’t exist.

I just joined today and I don’t see the $1000 reward listed under the Marathon offers. There’s trips and a TV, but no cash except for sending invites. Did they do away with the $1000 reward? Also, all the Marathon offers say that “all Sweatcoins used for purchase must be earned by you.” Does this mean you can no longer combine coins with family/friends to get Marathon rewards?
    Thanks for the informative review!

      Hey Lynn,
The marathon offer for $1000 is still there. Try to scroll down to the bottom!
When they say “all Sweatcoins used for purchase must be earned by you” they mean that you can combine sweatcoins from invites, steps, and as far as I know, sweatcoins sent to you by friends. I hope this helps 🙂

Hey Ray, You probably have 700 sweatcoins which aren’t the equivalent of $700! I wish they were lol!
To be able to cash out your sweatcoins you need to reach 20,000 sweatcoins. Otherwise, you need to pick one of the offers they have available.

I have been using sweatcoin I have been using sweatcoins since February of 2018 at first I loved it but now I’m totally over it Ivy walk-in ove Ivy walk in over fifty thousand steps a day just to get 20 Dollars In sweatcoins it does not properly calculate my steps and the offers are terrible there’s no way you can earn money or get the thousand dollars unless you invite 2400 people to join sweatcoin it makes no sense this is a rip-off and I’m about to delete it. I just wish I could cash in my over 8000 sweatcoins

      Hey Landon,
Not sure how you can call it a rip-off as it doesn’t cost you anything 🙂 The offers depend on where you are located and it could be that in your area there isn’t much you like. In any case, I find the app a lot of fun and I use my sweatcoins to donate to charities and crowdfunded projects when there isn’t anything I like. You should consider doing that instead of simply delete it!

Definitely a scam…..90% of your steps don’t get verified. In other words they don’t count. My settings, my GPS all are fine. They obviously don’t want you to ever get anywhere near enough points to actually qualify for anything. A great idea and I’m sure there are more honest apps to work with.

That’s no my experience at all, Becca 🙂 I always check my steps against my iPhone health app and they always tally up (bar a 5-8% difference, but that’s understandable). Do you use Android?
