Notes

How long to infuse for
I prefer to infuse my water for no more than 30 minutes to an hour at room temperature. Or for up to 3 hours in the fridge.
Citrus fruits release their flavor quickly: you can drink water infused with lemon, oranges, limes, and grapefruit within a few minutes.
If you want to keep it for longer, remove the fruit, veggies, and herbs from the water, and keep it in the fridge, but for no more than 3 days ) although I prefer to consume it within 24 hours).
How long to keep fruit in the water
If you keep it in the fridge fruit, vegetables, and herbs can stay in the water for up to a day. If you keep it at room temperature, don't leave the fruit longer than 2-3 hours to avoid bacteria growth.
